Meet Hilary Fox Cooke, your online insurance agent and a real person!

This web site is brought to you by Hilary Fox Cooke. I am directly involved in the content, design and products/services being offered through my office and this web site.  For the last eight years I have been very involved in the insurance business; formerly managing an insurance carrier's sales force, and now managing my own firm in Brattleboro, VT.

The scope of my business is concentrated in the six New England States. I would rather be an expert in a limited number of jurisdictions, offer good advice and serve my customers to the best of my ability. I personally oversee the entire operation of this web site and my office.

I was born in Brooklyn, grew up in Garden City, NY, went to the Canterbury School in New Milford, CT and graduated from Lake Forest College in Illinois. After graduate school at Manhattan College, I settled in Southern Vermont in ’80. I am an avid middle-aged snowboarder, mediocre golfer and dedicated river paddler … I usually know when the West River water level is up, so if you need a report for river conditions give me a call.

I have been involved in local civic matters for many years.  In the mid '80's I chaired the Dover Planning Commission; in the mid '90's I served on the Newfane School Board.  Currently, I am a member of the River Valley Credit Union Board of Directors; serve as a Brattleboro Town Meeting Representative and was just recently installed as the Junior Warden of Blazing Star Lodge #23, Free and Accepted Masons of Vermont.
